Yes, it's true. Not only the owner, her responsibilities include managing Japanese accounts, finding new business, client relations, and of course, composing and recording music for clients' radio, web, and video work.

Although classically trained as a pianist and composer at the San Francisco Conservatory, commercially, she's mostly "Big In Japan," having composed several hit songs for other musicians.

Yumiko released several CDs performing her own compositions in Japan, and has had one European CD release, "Culturemix," which was produced by Bill Nelson (lead guitarist for the New York Dolls). It was released on the Resurgence label.
